Rep. Vicente Gonzalez (D-Texas) announced Thursday that he is self-quarantining after coming in contact with another member of Congress who tested positive for COVID-19.

Though Gonzalez did not mention specifically who he had contact with, Wednesday evening Reps. Mario Diaz-Balart (R-Fla.) Ben McAdams (D-Utah) announced they tested positive for the coronavirus

Gonzalez said he is not experiencing any symptoms and did not mention if he is being tested for the virus himself.

Wednesday evening, House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) announced that he will self-quarantine for the next two weeks after Diaz-Balart tested positive for the coronavirus, citing a meeting between the two congressmen last week.

Though Diaz-Balart was the first confirmed case in Congress, several members have already self-quarantined after exposure to a person at the Conservative Political Action Conference who later tested positive, including Reps. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) Doug Collins (R-Ga.), and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas).
