President Trump removed the 53-year-old Scaramucci as communications director on Monday afternoon.
The former hedge fund manager and cable business news host was ousted on the same day that Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly assumed his new role as Trump’s chief of staff.
Press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement that Scaramucci felt it was best to give chief of staff John Kelly a clean slate and the ability to build his own team.”
