Fox News host Eric Bolling criticized White House senior adviser Stephen Miller for his comments at Wednesday’s press briefing, saying, “Don’t put that guy in front of the cameras again.”

Miller got into a heated exchange with CNN’s Jim Acosta while answering questions in place of press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, bashing the network’s White House correspondent for his “cosmopolitan bias.”

Bolling said Wednesday evening that while he disagreed with some parts of President Trump’s newly announced plan to cut legal immigration, “it’s really, really important for the country. Merit-based immigration is fantastic.”

“Conservatives are behind it, going, ‘About time, awesome.’ And then they put Stephen Miller out there to deliver the message and look what we get,” Bolling said.

{mosads}”We get — listen, he’s a brilliant guy, he’s a great policy adviser. He is not a communications person. Don’t put that guy in front of the cameras again.

“And the message gets stepped on because everyone is going to play that interchange with Acosta instead of talking about how great this immigration policy is. They really have to fix their communications department.”

Bolling has previously criticized the White House communications team, including former press secretary Sean Spicer. The communications team has been in flux, with the departure of Spicer followed by the ouster of communications director Anthony Scaramucci on Monday, after just 10 days on the job.

CNN repeatedly aired the exchange between Miller and Acosta on Wednesday, in which the two clashed on immigration policy and argued about the poem inscribed on the Statue of Liberty.
