Lawrence O’Donnell apologizes for off-air tirade

MSNBC anchor Lawrence O’Donnell apologized on Wednesday for berating his crew off-air during an Aug. 29 taping of his show “The Last Word.”

“A better anchorman and a better person would’ve had a better reaction to technical difficulties,” O’Donnell wrote on Twitter. “I’m sorry.”

{mosads}In a video posted by Mediaite on Wednesday, O’Donnell can be seen yelling and cursing at his production crew amid technical difficulties.

At one point, the MSNBC host demands that someone call Phil Griffin, the network’s president.

“I don’t care who the f— you have to call. Stop the hammering,” he says in the video. “Empty out the goddamned control room and find out what’s going on.”
