Fox News announced Wednesday its plan to expand its morning program, “Fox & Friends,” to five hours each weekday.
“As FOX & Friends continues to mark its most-watched year in network history, we are thrilled to give our viewers more of the morning franchise they love,” said Suzanne Scott, president of programming at Fox News.

The morning show is split into two parts. The additional hour will be added on to the first part, called “Fox & Friends First,” with host Heather Childers. It will begin airing at 4 a.m.
At 5 a.m., Jillian Mele and Rob Schmitt will take over.
Then, from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., co-hosts Steve Doocy, Ainsley Earhardt and Brian Kilmeade take over for “Fox & Friends.”
President Trump has singled out “Fox & Friends,” which has been on the air since 1998, more than any other program before and during his presidency. He has also appeared for interviews on the show several times since taking office, including as recently as Sept. 27.
Fox & Friends is on pace to have its most-watched year in the program’s 19-year history and has beaten its cable news competition on CNN and MSNBC for 190 consecutive months, according to the network.
