Fox News’s Brit Hume targeted by Turkish hackers on Twitter

Fox News’s Brit Hume is the third Fox-affiliated media figure to have their Twitter account taken over by supposed Turkish hackers this week.

A pinned tweet on Hume’s account now reads: “Your account is hacked by the Turkish cyber army Ayyıldız Tim! Your data and your DM correspondence have been captured! The Turks will never forget, neither what is done nor what is evil.”

Former Fox News hosts Eric Bolling and Greta Van Susteren appeared to be hacked earlier this week. Bolling’s hacked account posted images of his direct messages, which included an email address and phone number.

Van Susteren’s hacked account posted messages supportive of Turkish Pressident Recep Tayyip Erdoğan that it sent to President Trump’s Twitter account.

Hume’s account was also hacked on Thursday and posted several tweets. Former New York Times columnist Clyde Haberman also appeared to be hacked on Thursday, but the earlier tweets from Hume and Haberman’s accounts have since been deleted.
