‘Fire and Fury’ sales top 1.7 million
“Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House,” the tell-all book about President Trump’s first year in office, has sold 1.7 million copies since its release less than three weeks ago.
Henry Holt, the book’s publisher, said Wednesday that it had sold “1.7 million copies across all formats, including hardcover, digital and audio books.”
The publisher also said “there are now 1.5 million hardcover books in print after 22 printings,” and that the supply of the book is finally catching up to consumer demand.

“Fire and Fury,” by New York media writer Michael Wolff, chronicles Trump’s first year in the White House, painting a chaotic and controversial picture of the president, his top aides and advisers, as well as his family.
As excerpts of the book leaked to the press in the days before its release, public interest in “Fire and Fury” soared.
But the excerpts also infuriated Trump, who has insisted that the accounts of his presidency portrayed in the book are inaccurate. One of his personal attorneys sent a letter to Henry Holt directing the publisher to cease publication of the book, but that only prompted the company to move the publication date up.
Hardcover copies of the book sold out in stores and online almost immediately after it was released, leaving many readers waiting for copies.
