Former MSNBC host Greta Van Susteren slammed current network host Nicolle Wallace, asking if she was “just making stuff up” after Wallace said immediately after Tuesday night’s State of the Union speech that President Trump “had a deep and almost sad obsession of being liked.”

“Whether you are a Repub or a Dem, you have to wonder how Nicolle Wallace came up with this one (below) after she watched the SOTU- is she just making stuff up?” wrote Van Susteren to her 1.21 million followers.

Van Susteren parted ways with MSNBC in 2017 after just a six-month stint with the network. The former civil trail lawyer previously spent 14 years at Fox News as a primetime host and eight years at CNN prior to that, rising to fame during the O.J. Simpson trail as a legal analyst.

Wallace, a former communications director under George W. Bush, has been a staunch critic of Trump on a daily basis dating back to June 2015 when he announced his candidacy.

“This is so abnormal. This is a freak show,” Wallace said of the Trump presidency on MSNBC after the president’s reported “shithole countries” comments regarding African nations, El Salvador and Haiti during an immigration meeting with lawmakers at the White House on Jan. 11.

“Donald Trump disgraced the country if what is reported out of this meeting is true,” she added.

Wallace, a former “View” host and senior advisor on the 2008 McCain-Palin campaign, was given her own MSNBC program, “Deadline: White House” in May 2017.

Van Susteren signed as a contributor to Voice of America in October 2017.
