Former President Barack Obama is reportedly in talks with Netflix about producing a series of shows, including some highlighting inspirational stories.
Obama and former first lady Michele Obama are in talks to receive compensation for producing exclusive content for the streaming service, The New York Times reports.
“President and Mrs. Obama have always believed in the power of storytelling to inspire,” Eric Schultz, a senior adviser to the former president, told the Times.
“Throughout their lives, they have lifted up stories of people whose efforts to make a difference are quietly changing the world for the better. As they consider their future personal plans, they continue to explore new ways to help others tell and share their stories.”

One show idea includes the former president moderating discussions on various policy topics that came up during his tenure, including health care, voting rights and immigration, according to the report.
Obama does not intend to use the platform to rebuff conservatives or his Republican successor, President Trump, in front of Netflix’s nearly 118 million subscribers, sources told The Times.
Executives at other companies including Apple and Amazon, which have their own streaming services, have also expressed interest in discussing content deals with Obama, according to the report.
Obama is no stranger to Netflix, as he recently interviewed with longtime late night host David Letterman on his new show “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction.”
