‘Fox & Friends’ host: Omarosa ‘outsmarted’ Trump
“Fox & Friends” host Brian Kilmeade said Wednesday that ex-White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman has “outsmarted” President Trump by dragging him into a feud that will boost her book sales.
“She has come out with a series of tapes,” Kilmeade said, “and in many ways, seems to have outsmarted the president who has taken the bait and gone out and tweeted directly after her.”

{mosads}Manigault Newman, the former “Apprentice” contestant who was fired from the White House earlier this year, has made headlines this week with the release of her new book, in which she makes a number of controversial claims about the president.
She has also revealed that she secretly recorded conversations with the president and other White House officials.
The White House has pushed back on Manigault Newman’s claims, saying that she made up stories to draw attention to herself and sell books.
Trump tweeted a personal attack on Manigault Newman Tuesday morning, referring to her as a “lowlife” and a “dog.”
“When you give a crazed, crying lowlife a break, and give her a job at the White House, I guess it just didn’t work out,” Trump tweeted. “Good work by General Kelly for quickly firing that dog!”

Kilmeade compared Trump’s response to Manigault Newman to the way he and the White House dealt with journalist Michael Wolff’s explosive book earlier this year, saying that by engaging with the criticism at all, the president is actually helping his former aide sell books.
“After the president came out and gave Michael Wolff millions of dollars by going after his book, he seems to be doing the same thing with Omarosa’s book.”
The Trump campaign announced Tuesday that it was pursuing arbitration against Manigault Newman, alleging that she violated a nondisclosure agreement by publishing the book.
