Fox’s Ingraham mocks Scaramucci for promoting off-Broadway Trump cabaret play

Fox News host Laura Ingraham slammed former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci on Wednesday night, stating that he “had been very nasty” to her while mocking his role in promoting a new satirical off-Broadway cabaret show about the Trump family.

“Did Scaramucci, who’s been very nasty, by the way, to me. Very nasty, even though he sat where you sat a couple of times, not anytime soon … is he better at producing or being involved in this than his five seconds as [White House communications director]?” she asked to guest Raymond Arroyo.

{mosads}Scaramucci lasted just 11 days in the Trump administration. He was dismissed by chief of staff John Kelly in July 2017 following a profanity-laced tirade during an interview with The New Yorker directed at former chief of staff Reince Priebus and then-chief strategist Stephen Bannon.

Ingraham began the conversation with Arroyo by playing a clip from the Scaramucci-led press conference for the play, titled “The 1st Annual Trump Family Special.” The clip included an actress playing the role of Trump’s first wife, Ivana, a former model, who was presented as being overweight.

“I think they just hired him [Scaramucci] in to promote this thing. But it’s so embarrassing,” replied Arroyo, a Fox News contributor and anchor on EWTN, the Eternal Word Television Network.

“First of all, since when is Ivana fat? I mean, God bless her, Ivana is not a fat woman,” noted Ingraham.

“I will only go see this when the Mooch and [Trump former aide] Omarosa [Manigault Newman] are fill-ins. When they come into the cast, I’ll be there,” concluded Arroyo.

The play is set to open in New York on Sept. 13.

“I think they’d find this very funny,” Scaramucci told reporters on Wednesday when asked what the Trump family reaction will be. “They know how to take a joke.”

The recent war of words between Scaramucci and Ingraham appeared to begin earlier this month when Scaramucci criticized Ingraham on CNN regarding comments she made on immigration. She stated that the U.S. had undergone “massive demographic changes” that no one voted for and “most of us don’t like.”

“You know, I’m super not happy with that,” Scaramucci, a former Fox Business Network host, told Wolf Blitzer on Aug. 8. “I like her as a person, but if you remember Father Charles Coughlin in the 1930s — my grandparents certainly remember him — it’s the same rhetoric. It’s the same sentence structure.”

Scaramucci last appeared on “The Ingraham Angle” on Jan. 9.
