Fox News contributor mocks Elizabeth Warren with photo at Disneyland

Fox News contributor and former GOP lawmaker Jason Chaffetz (R-Calif.) on Thursday posted a photo where he posed with a Native American statue, captioning it “At Disneyland today with Senator Elizabeth Warren.”

{mosads}The reference to Massachusetts Democrat Warren follows the release of Warren’s DNA test. The results “strongly support” Warren having a Native American ancestor, according to a top researcher hired by Warren’s office.

Warren said she released the test to get ahead of attacks by President Trump over her claims to Native American heritage. Trump has frequently referred to Warren as “Pocahontas.”

Warren’s decision to release the DNA results was mocked by Trump and some conservatives. The Cherokee Nation also said using a DNA test to claim connection with a tribal nation is “inappropriate” and “wrong.”

Chaffetz in turn was slammed on Twitter for the photo mocking Warren by some members of the media, entertainment industry and educational institutions.
