Megyn Kelly slams Daily Mail for publishing photos of her family

Former NBC host Megyn Kelly sharply criticized the U.K.-based Daily Mail tabloid on Wednesday for publishing pictures of her husband inside the pair’s home, as well as taking photos of the couple’s children.

In a pair of tweets, Kelly slammed the British tabloid for “secretly” videotaping her 7-year-old daughter and her daughter’s classmates in an article Wednesday detailing Kelly’s life following her departure from the “Megyn Kelly Today” show.

{mosads}”For a week paparazzi has been lurking outside my home day & nite. Finally today I took my kids to school. I went out alone 1st, offered them donuts &begged them to just take their pic of me & to leave my kids alone when they emerged,” Kelly wrote on Twitter.

“All were nice. Except the Dailymail,” she added. “The DailyMail 1st published photos of my husb IN OUR HOME & then *did* photog my kids, trailed us to my daughter’s school, & secretly videotaped my 7-yr-old child (her classmates too) & posted it.”

The Mail’s article showed Kelly offering donuts to photographers and includes several photos of her husband, though video of Kelly’s children was not used in the article.

Representatives for Kelly and the Daily Mail did not immediately return a request for comment from The Hill over the article.

NBC announced that Kelly would not return to her show following controversial remarks the former host made about white people appearing in blackface as part of Halloween costumes, which she argued on-air was not considered racist when she grew up.

Kelly apologized for her remarks a day after they were made on her show, but has not been on the air since.
