Democratic presidential candidate and Rep. Dean Phillips (Minn.) will participate in a wide-ranging interview with NewsNation host Dan Abrams later this week.

The network announced Tuesday that Abrams’s interview with Phillips will air Friday during the host’s 9 p.m. program, which will be entirely devoted to the Phillips sit-down that evening.

“Phillips will discuss the state of his campaign, his career background, and why he decided to jump in the 2024 presidential race,” the network said in a release teasing the upcoming interview.

Phillips is running along with a small number of other Democrats against Biden for the Democratic nomination. The congressman has participated in a growing number of media interviews in recent weeks as he looks to raise his national profile and has said he does not intend to run for reelection to the House.

NewsNation is a cable news channel owned by Nexstar Media Group, which also owns The Hill.
