MSNBC’s Brzezinski: Mueller report shows Trump’s ‘unfit, impeachable behavior’

MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski said Monday that special counsel Robert Mueller’s report has exposed “unfit, impeachable behavior” on the part of President Trump.

“This report was completely exposing of unfit, impeachable behavior. And that’s where he sits this morning. His claims of total exoneration seem to be ringing hollow with the public,” Brzezinski said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

{mosads}She made the remark while noting a Reuters/Ipsos poll published Friday that showed Trump’s approval rating sinking to its lowest level of 2019 following the release of the Mueller report. The poll showed that just 37 percent of adults approve of Trump’s job performance.

A redacted version of the Mueller report, released Thursday, detailed 10 cases of possible obstruction of justice involving Trump and noted that investigators found “multiple acts by the President that were capable of exerting undue influence over law enforcement investigations.”

Mueller did not make a determination on whether Trump committed obstruction of justice.

The special counsel also decided there wasn’t enough evidence to determine that the Trump campaign conspired with Russia ahead of the 2016 election, but the report notes that the campaign believed it would benefit from Russian interference and Russia believed it would benefit from a Trump presidency.

“Although the investigation established that the Russian government perceived it would benefit from a Trump presidency and worked to secure that outcome, and that the campaign expected it would benefit electorally from information stolen and released through Russian efforts, the investigation did not establish that members of the Trump campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities,” the report reads.
