Ingraham goes after fellow Fox News host Wallace over Mueller letter

Fox News host Laura Ingraham took a shot at colleague Chris Wallace on Wednesday, accusing him of agreeing with “these other cable networks” over coverage of special counsel Robert Mueller’s letter to Attorney General William Barr that he was unhappy with Barr’s handling of the Russia investigation.

Calling into “America’s Newsroom” before Barr testified to the Senate Judiciary Committee, Ingraham knocked other news networks for the “frosty frenzy” that took place after reports surfaced Tuesday evening that Mueller sent a letter to Barr voicing his concerns with Barr’s presentation of Mueller’s findings in the report.

{mosads}“I know Chris Wallace, at the top of your hour, was indicating, I guess, that he kind of agrees with these other cable networks that this was an attempt by the [Department of Justice] DOJ to spin what the conversation was between Barr and Mueller,” she said.

Ingraham added that she doesn’t “know if Chris Wallace has information that I don’t have, but that he is saying that Barr is perpetuating a lie about this conversation between him and Mueller?”

Ingraham made fun of other networks, with which she says Wallace appears to agree, for having a “meltdown” in their coverage of Mueller’s letter, which was first reported by The Washington Post.

The Hill has reached out to Fox News for comment.

In the letter sent to Barr in March, Mueller expressed his “frustration” at Barr not providing “context” in his initial four-page summary of Mueller’s findings to Congress.

Barr defended his handling of the investigation during his sworn testimony Wednesday.
