CNN host on Graham not reading entire Mueller report: ‘That’s a disgrace’

CNN chief national correspondent John King on Wednesday called out Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) for publicly stating that he had not read the entire report from special counsel Robert Mueller.

Graham, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, opened the hearing Wednesday where Attorney General William Barr was testifying by holding up the 448-page report from Mueller and saying he had read nearly all of it, but not the full thing.

{mosads}“Lindsey Graham said he hadn’t even read it all,” King said on CNN during a break in Barr’s testimony. “The chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee said ‘I’ve only read most of it.’ That’s a disgrace.”

He added that whether it’s a Democratic or Republican lawmaker in charge of the Judiciary panel, to say openly they have not read the full report is “a disgrace.”

Graham also said Wednesday that “for me, it’s over,” referring to Mueller’s investigation.

MSNBC hosts also fact-checked Graham live during his opening remarks at the hearing Wednesday, saying his assertion that the Mueller report found “no collusion” between the Trump campaign and Russia to influence the 2016 election “is not correct.”

“The report says collusion is not a thing they considered,” MSNBC host Brian Williams said. “It doesn’t exist in federal code.”

Mueller did not establish that President Trump or his team conspired with Russia to aid in its efforts to interfere with the 2016 election.
