HBO removes misplaced coffee cup from ‘Game of Thrones’ scene
HBO quietly edited Sunday’s episode of “Game of Thrones,” the most popular show in its network’s history, after a misplaced coffee cup was spotted by fans during the episode.
The Verge reported Tuesday that a scene in which the main characters are enjoying a meal was subtly changed on the network’s “HBO GO” app after social media users pointed out the erroneously-placed beverage on Monday, mocking the show’s supposed attention to detail.
Thanks everyone who was supported me. It’s been a tough few years, trying to get my big break. Being an actor and a coffee cup is hard, y’all #GameofThrones pic.twitter.com/oHOy8PkVZ2

The network issued a humorous statement Monday after remaining silent on the issue for hours, confirming the cup to be an error.{mosads}
“The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea,” HBO said.
Starbucks, the coffee chain which many speculated had supplied the drink, joked that the company was surprised that Emilia Clarke’s character Daenerys Targaryen, who is also called the Mother of Dragons, had not ordered one of their signature “dragon” frappuccinos.
“TBH we’re surprised she didn’t order a Dragon Drink,” Starbucks tweeted from its official account.
