Trump thanks Scarborough for saying he looks ’20 years younger’ than many 2020 Dems

President Trump on Wednesday offered rare praise for MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough after the “Morning Joe” host said the president “looked 20 years younger than a lot of the 2020 Democratic candidates.”

“Thank you Joe and remember, the BRAIN is much sharper also!” Trump said in a retweet of the Washington Examiner’s Paul Bedard, who had reported on Scarborough’s comments Wednesday morning.

Trump and Scarborough have sparred in public repeatedly since Trump captured the Republican nomination for president in May 2016. 

Prior to that point, Trump had regularly appeared on “Morning Joe” by phone for what some characterized as friendly interviews.

Critics called Scarborough and co-host Mika Brzezinski’s relationship with Trump a “bromance of convenience” and accused them of “brown-nosing.”

But, since then, Scarborough has frequently lashed out at the president, calling him “more of a threat to U.S. than any foreign adversary,” while both hosts have claimed multiple times that they think Trump is suffering from the early stages of dementia.

Trump has often fired back at the pair, calling Scarborough “Pyscho Joe” and Brzezinski “Low I.Q. Mika” while targeting their program for what the former television star calls low ratings.
