Hannity fires back at Acosta over book: ‘Go hawk that garbage’ on CNN

Fox News host Sean Hannity feuded with CNN’s Jim Acosta on Twitter on Friday after Acosta accused Hannity of not addressing his criticisms of Acosta’s new book face to face.

Acosta tweeted early Friday morning that he had offered to discuss Hannity’s frequent criticism of CNN and his reporting on Fox News, which Hannity declined.

“Hearing Sean Hannity is taking some shots at me over my book. Two things Sean… #1 I offered to come on your show and talk about the book and you guys declined. Sad! #2 you’re in the book. It was that time you had a chance to say something to my face but didn’t. Enjoy!” the CNN reporter tweeted.

Hannity responded hours later, tweeting that it was “true Fake News Acosta’s reps have BEEN BEGGING to be on the #1 show on Cable News & 618 Of the top Talk Radio stations.”

“Sorry, I wont subject my audience to conspiracy theory fake news,” Hannity added, before directing Acosta to “Go hawk that garbage on the lowest rated cable channel u work for.”

{mosads}The two have feuded on social media before, with Acosta referring to Hannity as a “propagandist” who spreads “lies every night” in August, which at the time prompted Hannity to respond that he was “sorry your precious feelings are hurt & that people see through your lying bullshit for what it is.”

Hannity also addressed Acosta live on his show last year in a monologue after Acosta noted that supporters of President Trump often shouted insults at CNN reporters who cover Trump rallies.

“I’m actually going to give your network some advice, if you have an open mind and an open heart,” Hannity said last year on his show. “The people of this country are screaming at you for a reason. They don’t like your unfair, abusively biased treatment of the president of the United States.”
