Trump says ‘loser’ Paul Ryan should be fired by Fox board

Former President Trump attacked former Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), arguing he should be removed from the board of Fox Corp.

“Rupert Murdoch should fire pathetic RINO Paul Ryan from the Board of Fox,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social early Thursday. “Ryan is a loser, always has been, and always will be. He was the WEAKEST & MOST INCOMPETENT Speaker of the House in its History. Fox will sink to the absolute bottom of the pack if Paul Ryan has anything to do with it!”

Trump’s comments come a day after Ryan said at the Milken Global Institute Conference he would not vote for the former president, who is the presumptive GOP nominee this fall.

“Character is too important to me,” Ryan said of Trump. “And it’s a job that requires the kind of character that he just doesn’t have.”

Ryan left Congress in 2019 and has since joined the board of Fox Corp., the parent company of Fox News.

Trump has relentlessly attacked Fox in recent months over its coverage of him and the Republicans who challenged him for the GOP nomination.

The former president has blasted Rupert Murdoch, the conservative media mogul who ceded control of the company to his eldest son, Lachlan Murdoch, last fall, as a “globalist” who is trying to stop him from becoming president again.

Many of Fox News’s top hosts remain vocally supportive of Trump and spend hours each day blasting his top political rival, President Biden.
