CNN political analyst April Ryan is set to moderate a “grassroots fundraising event” for 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful Pete Buttigieg.

{mosads}Tickets for the event will be priced as high as $500. It will take place Saturday in Washington, D.C.

The promotion for the event was first flagged by @PolPartyTime, which is managed by Open Secrets, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that tracks political fundraisers.

A Buttigieg campaign spokesperson confirmed to The Hill that Ryan, the White House correspondent for American Urban Radio Networks, is not being paid for her services for the event.

The Hill has reached out to American Urban Radio Networks and CNN for comment.

Ryan, who had heated confrontations with former White House press secretaries Sean Spicer and Sarah Huckabee Sanders when daily press briefings were held in the Trump era, publicly lauded Buttigieg last month after the South Bend, Ind., mayor invited her to be his guest at a Congressional Black Caucus dinner in September.

“Thank you @PeteButtigieg for inviting me to be your guest at the CBC Dinner. The last time I was invited to the dinner by a presidential candidate was @barackobama. You know what happened after that!” she wrote to her more than 570,000 followers on Twitter.

Buttigieg is currently fourth in the RealClearPolitics index of polls with 5.6 percent support. Former Vice President Joe Biden is currently the front-runner in the index, garnering 29.4 percent support to Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s 23.4 percent and Sen. Bernie Sanders’s (I-Vt.) 15.4 percent.
