Fox News to air online learning town hall with former Obama, Reagan Education secretaries

Fox News will broadcast a virtual town hall on Tuesday afternoon featuring Arne Duncan and Bill Bennett, two former Education secretaries, to discuss virtual learning for children amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The one-hour event, “America Learns Together,” will be moderated by “Outnumbered: Overtime” anchor Harris Faulkner. It will also include Deb Delisle, who served as assistant secretary of Education under former President Obama, and Jessica Griffin, a child psychologist, “to answer questions from parents and teachers who are helping children adjust to the virtual classroom experience.”

“Topics to be discussed will include struggles those in the education system have faced with distance learning, tips for best practices and the future of the virtual class dynamic,” the network said in announcing the event.

The program is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

Duncan served in the Obama administration, while Bennett was in former President Reagan’s Cabinet.

Faulkner previously co-moderated a virtual town hall with President Trump and Vice President Pence from her New Jersey home.

The town hall comes as Scholastic is offering free online courses for children amid the outbreak, which has closed almost all schools nationwide.

The U.S. death toll from COVID-19 eclipsed 41,000 on Monday.
