Hannity planning first book in ten years: ‘Live Free or Die’

Sean Hannity will release “Live Free or Die: America (and the World) on the Brink” this summer, marking the first book from the Fox News host in 10 years, the network announced on Wednesday.

The book seeks to guide readers through a “concise ideological history of America to demonstrate how the nation arrived at this moment of brinksmanship and why now is an all-hands-on-deck moment to save the Republic,” Fox News said.

It will be published by Threshold Editions, an imprint of Simon & Schuster. The New York-based publisher handles several conservative authors, including Fox News hosts Tucker Carlson and Mark Levin as well as radio host Rush Limbaugh and former Vice President Dick Cheney.

Hannity has published three New York Times bestsellers, the most recent being “Conservative Victory” in 2010.

The Fox News host is finishing the month of April with his largest audience since joining the network at its inception in 1996, according to Nielsen Media Research, averaging a career-best 4.385 million viewers at 9 p.m.

He is currently battling the Times over a column critical of his coverage of the coronavirus pandemic.

Hannity’s attorney, Charles Harder, threatened legal action against the newspaper on Monday, with the Times stating Tuesday that it would not retract or apologize for the April 18 piece.
