Rogan: Harris campaign wanted to limit appearance to 1 hour
Podcaster Joe Rogan says Vice President Harris’s campaign made requests for a potential appearance on his program that he did not find acceptable.
“For the record the Harris campaign has not passed on doing the podcast,” Rogan wrote Tuesday on the social platform X. “They offered a date for Tuesday, but I would have had to travel to her, and they only wanted to do an hour.”
The podcaster and media promoter said he feels “strongly” the “best way to do” an interview with the vice president is in his studio in Austin.
“My sincere wish is to just have a nice conversation and get to know her as a human being,” he said of Harris. “I really hope we can make it happen.”
A representative for the Harris campaign did not return a request for comment.
Campaign spokesperson Ian Sams said last week that the vice president would not appear on “The Joe Rogan Experience.”
Rogan last week hosted former President Trump for a wide-ranging conversation with less than two weeks before Election Day.
During the more than three-hour discussion, Trump falsely claimed he won the 2020 presidential election, said he would consider putting Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in his Cabinet and mused about UFOs.
Trump’s sit-down with Rogan was part of broader push for male young voters via appearances with leading streamers, podcasters and internet personalities.
