Bolton interview with ABC watched by 6.2 million to win Sunday night

Former national security adviser John Bolton’s interview special on ABC with anchor Martha Raddatz drew 6.2 million viewers, making it the most-watched program on television Sunday night, according to Nielsen Media Research.

Bolton is currently on a media tour to promote his new book, “The Room Where It Happened: A White House Memoir.” The scathing portrayal of Trump during Bolton’s tenure as national security adviser will be released on Tuesday.

During the interview, Bolton argued that Trump should not be president, saying he did not have “the competence” to do the job.

“I don’t think he’s a conservative Republican. I’m not going to vote for him in November — certainly not going to vote for Joe Biden either. I’m going to figure out a conservative Republican to vote in,” he also told Raddatz.

“There really isn’t any guiding principle that I was able to discern other than what’s good for Donald Trump’s reelection,” Bolton also said. “There’s no coherent basis, no strategy, no philosophy, and decisions are made in a very scatter-shot fashion, especially in the potentially mortal field of national security policy. This is a danger for the Republic.”

“The Room Where It Happened” is already No. 1 on Amazon’s bestseller list.

The ratings for Bolton come as President Trump’s rally in Tulsa was watched by 7.7 million on Fox News on Saturday night.
