Scarborough: Putin more likely to take tough question than Trump
MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough compared President Trump to Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday, saying Putin was more likely to take a tough question from a reporter.
“Though he kills journalists, Vladimir Putin, on camera, actually seems a little more willing to answer tough questions when they are asked of him,” the “Morning Joe” co-host, who has repeatedly battled with Trump, said. “Donald Trump can’t even handle that.”
“Of course, Donald Trump would kill reporters if he could get away with it,” Scarborough also added. “I think even his strongest supporters would admit Trump would do whatever he could get away with.”
Trump and the hosts of “Morning Joe” have been in a long-running feud which has included Trump attacking the appearance of co-host Mika Brzezinski, who is married to Scarborough.
Scarbrough has repeatedly insulted Trump and said in 2017 that the president suffers from “early onset dementia.”

Trump was once a frequent call-in guest on the show during the GOP primary, but has not appeared on the program in years.
Scarborough, a former GOP congressman from Florida, left the Republican Party after Trump’s election and became an independent in 2017.
