Fox News has signed a deal with Tucker Carlson to increase his presence on its streaming service Fox Nation, the cable network announced Wednesday.

Starting in April, Carlson will produce at least three video podcasts a week for Fox Nation, each one featuring an interview with newsmakers and a discussion of current national issues.

In addition, he will produce long-form, in-depth, single-topic specials entitled “Tucker Carlson Originals.” These specials will be released monthly also starting in April.

Fox News did not reveal the financial terms of the deal.

Carlson was listed in a Fox News statement, along with names like Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, and Brit Hume, as one of the Fox News personalities who would grace Fox Nation when the streaming service was launched in September 2018.

However, this new content will be the first time Carlson will have a regular presence on the service.

The additional content can only be seen on Fox Nation and Carlson’s new commitment will not affect his show “Tucker Carlson Tonight” which airs at 8 p.m. ET during the week, according to the statement announcing the new initiative.

The video podcasts and the specials will be produced by the team that creates Carlson’s current show and which is led by Senior Executive Producer Justin Wells. To accompany his expanded responsibilities, Wells was given the new title vice president of Tucker Carlson Digital Products.

“Tucker Carlson Tonight” originally aired on Fox News in November of 2016 at the 7 p.m. ET slot. However, it was moved to 9 p.m. in January 2017.

The show moved to its current slot at 8 p.m. to replace “The O’Reilly Factor” after that show’s host, Bill O’Reilly, was accused of sexual harassment and left Fox in April of that year.
