Rush Limbaugh’s wife planning a virtual memorial service for him

Kathryn Limbaugh, wife of recently deceased radio host Rush Limbaugh, announced on Monday that a virtual memorial service will be held for her husband in the coming weeks.

“We are in the initial stages of planning a celebration of life that will be able to be viewed by all of the audience and friends and extended family at some point in the near future. We don’t have an exact date just yet, we’re working on some of the logistics,” Kathryn Limbaugh said according to Fox News.

Rush Limbaugh’s death was announced last Thursday. He was 70 years old and had been diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer last year.

He hosted “The Rush Limbaugh Show” for more than 30 years and was one of the most influential voices in the conservative movement throughout his career.

Former President Trump made his first public comments since leaving office to speak of Rush Limbaugh on Fox News.

“He is a legend. He really is. There aren’t too many legends around. But he is a legend,” Trump said last week. “And those people who listen to him every day, it was like a religious experience for a lot of people.”

Rush Limbaugh had been one of Trump’s most prominent supporters. Trump awarded Limbaugh the Medal of Freedom at the State of the Union one year ago in honor of his contributions to media and the conservative movement.

Trump later appeared on various conservative networks such as Fox News, Newsmax and OANN to discuss Limbaugh, signalling a brief return to the media landscape after his exit from the White House.
