Kayleigh McEnany joins Fox News as co-host of ‘Outnumbered’
Former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany is joining Fox News as a co-host of “Outnumbered,” the network announced Tuesday.
McEnany, who served during the Trump administration, is slated to start on April 6. She will co-host the show with founding anchor Harris Faulkner and Emily Compagno.
“Kayleigh’s unique background in politics and law coupled with her experiences confronting women’s health challenges and life as a new mom will add robust insight to Outnumbered,” said Suzanne Scott, CEO of FOX News Media, in a statement Tuesday.
Fox News first announced on March 2 that McEnany was joining the network as a contributor on Faulkner’s show “The Faulkner Focus.”
McEnany is not the first former Trump official to take a media job. Larry Kudlow, Trump’s economic adviser, now hosts a weekday program on Fox Business that debuted in February with high ratings.
In early March, former White House staffer Andrew Giuliani, son of Rudy Giuliani, joined Newsmax as a contributor.
As with Kudlow, a former CNBC host, McEnany’s resume includes stints on cable news. She interned at Fox News and later worked as an analyst for CNN, commenting on the 2016 presidential election. After CNN, McEnany became a spokesperson for the Republican National Committee.
McEnany took over from Stephanie Grisham as White House press secretary in April last year as part of a revamp of the White House communications team.
