Fox News pundit Jeanine Pirro is getting a permanent hosting spot on “The Five.”

Pirro, a longtime conservative media personality and legal analyst, will join current hosts Jesse Watters, Greg Gutfeld and Dana Perino along with a rotating host of more left-leaning pundits to include Jessica Tarlov, Geraldo Rivera and former Rep. Harold Ford Jr. (D-Tenn.)

“The Five continues to be a beloved show by the American audience,” Suzanne Scott, CEO of Fox News Media, said in a statement. “Each of the co-hosts are accomplished and insightful talent with diverse opinions and terrific chemistry who will certainly help drive this ensemble program going forward.”

Pirro, who joined Fox in 2006 as a legal analyst, has been co-hosting on “The Five” on an interim basis for the last several months in addition to her weekend program, “Justice with Judge Jeanine,” which she began hosting in 2011.

She will relinquish her weekend program once she begins full-time work on “The Five,” Fox said.

Pirro on more than one occasion has interviewed former President Trump on her program. Trump has repeatedly praised Pirro, one of his most ardent defenders at Fox and earliest supporters in media.

“The Five,” a panelist-style discussion program that features political jokes and commentary, consistently ranks as the highest program on cable news during its time slot. In the fourth quarter of 2021, it averaged 3.3 million total viewers.

News of Pirro’s selection comes just days after Fox announced Watters, another longtime personality at the network, had been chosen to host a prime-time show beginning Jan. 24.

Pirro’s new role at Fox begins the same day.
