Donald Trump Jr. tweets well-wishes to Bush 41

President Trump’s eldest son, Donald Jr., tweeted Friday to wish George H.W. Bush good health as the former president recovers from pneumonia.

Bush’s Twitter account posted a photo late Thursday showing his son, former President George W. Bush, visiting him at the Houston hospital where he is recuperating.

“No father has ever been more blessed, or prouder,” Bush, 92, tweeted alongside a picture of himself resting in bed with his son standing next to him.

Bush family spokesman Jim McGrath said Wednesday that the 41st president “continues to gain strength” and had “a good night’s rest” following his admission the day before.

Bush first checked into Methodist for observation Tuesday following a persistent cough, McGrath said.

“It was subsequently determined he had a mild case of pneumonia, which was treated and has been resolved,” he added.

Bush was previously admitted to Methodist for several days in mid-January for an illness that ultimately required him to stay in an intensive care unit. He received treatment to “address an acute respiratory problem stemming from pneumonia.”

His wife Barbara, 91, was also admitted to Methodist in January after reportedly experiencing fatigue and coughing.
