Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl’s sentencing hearing has reportedly been delayed.
The sentencing hearing, originally scheduled for Monday, has been postponed to Wednesday, The Associated Press reported.
Last Monday, Bergdahl — who walked off his post in Afghanistan in 2009 and was then captured and held by the Taliban for five years — pleaded guilty to charges of desertion and misbehavior before the enemy.

Later that day, President Trump was asked about Bergdahl during a press conference. Trump said he couldn’t comment on Bergdahl, but added: “I think people have heard my comments in the past.”
During his campaign, Trump called Bergdahl a “no-good traitor” and said, “Thirty years ago, [Bergdahl] would have been shot.”
On Tuesday, lawyers for Bergdahl filed a motion in a last-ditch effort to have the case against him tossed, even after he pleaded guilty.
In the motion last week, Bergdahl’s attorneys argued that the brief comment from President Trump the day before shows the president still believes the disparaging comments he made on the campaign trail. The attorneys argue the comments cast an “impermissible shadow” over upcoming sentencing proceedings.
“His statement, made at a televised press conference that was one of the most salient public events of the day, removes any doubt about whether his campaign comments reflect his current opinion,” they wrote in the motion.
“Had they changed, he would have said so,” they argued.
Bergdahl faces a potential maximum sentence of life in prison.
