Hundreds of people took to the streets of Hollywood on Sunday afternoon to march against sexual assault, as the worlds of politics and media continue to be rocked by a flood of allegations.
The demonstration was composed of two marches — the Take Back the Workplace March and the #MeToo Survivors March — that came together on Sunset Boulevard, The Associated Press reported.
The Los Angeles Times reported that several hundred people took part, including Harvey Weinstein accuser Lauren Sivan.

“I’m really happy to come here, because really it’s Hollywood that opened this floodgate,” Tarana Burke, a co-founder of an organization called Just Be Inc., told the Los Angeles Times. “It”s really symbolic to have this march happen, not with Hollywood stars, but in Hollywood.”
The New York Times set off a firestorm in October when it published a report detailing accusations of sexual assault against Weinstein, a movie mogul and Democratic mega-donor known for producing such films as “Pulp Fiction” and “Shakespeare in Love.”
The report led to Weinstein being fired by his own company.
Since then, numerous reports have surfaced accusing prominent men in media and politics of inappropriate sexual behavior, including “House of Cards” star Kevin Spacey and comedian Louis C.K.
On Thursday, The Washington Post reported that GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore had pursued a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl in 1979, when he was 32.
The report has led prominent members of the Republican Party to distance themselves from Moore, who defeated Alabama Sen. Luther Strange in a GOP primary runoff in September.
