Avenatti: ‘I will be fully exonerated’

Attorney Michael Avenatti reiterated Tuesday that he believes he will be fully exonerated of the felony domestic violence allegation leveled against him.

“There is nothing more powerful than video evidence,” he tweeted. “NOTHING! I will be fully exonerated.”

Avenatti was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of felony domestic violence, according to Los Angeles police, before being released on a $50,000 bail.

He has repeatedly denied the allegation against him. 

{mosads}”I have never struck a woman. I never will strike a woman,” Avenatti said in statements to reporters  immediately after being released from jail.

“I am looking forward to a full investigation at which point I am confident that I will be fully exonerated.”

His latest tweet came after actress Mareli Miniutti on Monday filed a petition for a restraining order against him.

When news of the filing broke, Avenatti again denied the charges.

“I look forward to a full clearing of my name and disclosure of all of the facts,” he tweeted. “I have NEVER abused a woman or committed domestic violence against anyone. Any claim to the contrary is completely bogus and fabricated. I am a target. And I will be exonerated.”

Avenatti, who represented adult-film star Stormy Daniels in her lawsuit against President Trump, has expressed an interest in running in the 2020 Democratic presidential primaries.

He is facing two potential criminal investigations into his actions during the confirmation battle over Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
