Giuliani ‘would like’ public release of full Mueller report
President Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani on Sunday called for the public release of special counsel Robert Mueller’s full report on the Russia investigation, after a summary of the report was released by Congress.
“Sure,” he said when asked about releasing the full report on CNN. “We would all like it to happen because if it doesn’t happen, somebody is going to say there is something in there.”
{mosads}He added, “let me say for the 400th time, the president did not do anything wrong.”
Giuliani called Attorney General William Barr’s summary of Mueller’s findings a “complete exoneration” of the president.
In a letter to Congress, Barr wrote that Mueller’s investigation found no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia but made no conclusion on whether Trump obstructed justice over the course of the probe.
However, Barr and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein determined that there was insufficient evidence of obstruction and said the Department of Justice (DOJ) would not pursue charges.
“That is a complete exoneration by the attorney general and Rod Rosenstein,” Giuliani said.
“We think it’s a complete exoneration of the President,” President Trump’s personal attorney @RudyGiuliani says on @CNN about the Mueller report.
Attorney General Bill Barr, however, said the Mueller report “does not exonerate” the President. https://t.co/sBYkMy1MDb pic.twitter.com/Kx35Gg10H3

“It’s quite clear, no collusion of any kind … which kind of raises the question, why did this ever start in the first place?” Giuliani told CNN on Sunday.
Mueller turned in his report to the DOJ on Friday. Giuliani described Trump as “in a remarkably good mood” ahead of the summary’s release on Sunday.
“He’s never terribly bothered by these things,” Giuliani told Politico. “The only time the president has ever been bothered is when they go after other people.”
