Epstein accuser named former governor, senator in testimony

A woman testified that Jeffrey Epstein sent her to have sex while she was underage with former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson (D) and former Sen. George Mitchell (D-Maine), allegations the two men deny.

According to court documents made public Friday, Virginia Giuffre testified in 2016 she was also sent to have sex with asset manager Glenn Dubin, modeling executive Jean Luc Brunel and the late MIT scientist Marvin Minsky, expanding on past claims that she was used as a “sex slave” for Epstein from 2000 to 2002.

{mosads}Epstein, a former financier and convicted sex offender, faces new federal charges of sex trafficking minors, to which he has pleaded not guilty.

Though none of the men named in the documents released Friday have been charged, they are additions to a growing list of high-profile figures with alleged associations with Epstein.

In separate statements to Bloomberg, Richardson said he’d never met Giuffre, calling her allegations “completely false” and saying he’d never seen Epstein with underage girls, and Mitchell said he’d never had any contact with Giuffre and was also unaware of Epstein’s accused illicit activities.

“Glenn and Eva Dubin are outraged by the allegations against them in the unsealed court records and categorically reject them,” a Dubin spokesperson added in a statement to The Hill.

Giuffre first filed a suit in 2015 that Epstein began abusing her in 2000 when she was 16 years old and that she was recruited by Ghislaine Maxwell, his friend.

According to NBC News, Giuffre said she was working at President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort as a locker room attendant at the time.

A judge sealed about 2,000 pages of documents when the case was settled, but an appeals court upheld its earlier ruling to unseal the pages Friday.

“They instructed me to go to George Mitchell, Jean Luc Brunel, Bill Richardson, another prince that I don’t know his name,” Giuffre said in the testimony. “A guy that owns a hotel, a really large hotel chain, I can’t remember which hotel it was.”

“There was, you know, another foreign president, I can’t remember his name,” she added. “There’s a whole bunch of them that I just — it’s hard for me to remember all of them.”

Epstein served 13 months in jail about 10 years ago after reaching a deal with prosecutors that has been panned as too lenient. He was arrested in July and charged with trafficking underage girls from 2002 to 2005. Maxwell denies that she was involved in Epstein’s activities.
