A new communication team will be taking over at the Democratic National Committee (DNC), Chairman Jaime Harrison announced on Tuesday.
Adrienne Watson will become communications director, Ofirah Yheskel will serve as deputy communications director and Danai Pointer will be communications outreach director, according to the announcement.
Watson was previously the DNC national press secretary and served as a spokesperson for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign.
Yheskel was a spokesperson for the DNC War Room in 2020, the deputy communications director for Beto O’Rourke’s 2020 presidential campaign and was the director of media relations for the 2020 Democratic National Convention.
Pointer also served on the communications team for the DNC War Room in 2020 and has held a variety of positions in communications and consulting.
“With Adrienne, Ofirah and Danai at the helm, we are ready to communicate our president and our party’s priorities, policies and principles to the American people,” Harrison said in a statement.
