Suit company goes viral with ‘new normal is coming’ campaign

A suit company went viral on Thursday after unveiling a racy ad to sell its merchandise.

Suit Supply, which sells both men’s and women’s clothing, shoes and accessories, launched an ad depicting the “new normal” in which models are seen kissing in exaggerated fashion. It garnered over 9,000 likes on Instagram.

The ad suggests a world in which people are able to engage freely without worry of getting sick from the coronavirus.

“The new normal is coming. Get ready to get closer,” the ad states.

Journalist Jana G. Pruden shared a screenshot of the ad on Twitter, garnering over 2,000 likes and more than 200 retweets.

“If this Suit Supply ad my husband just received is any indication, things are about to get wild,” she captioned it.

New York Times editor Andrew Ross Sorkin also shared an image from the ad on Twitter, noting that Americans may begin to see more ads that are free of COVID-19 references and masks as more people get vaccinated.

“We’re going to start seeing ad campaigns for a post-vaccine world. Suit Supply just sent this out under the heading, ‘The New Normal is Coming,’ ” he wrote in a tweet.

With the arrival of more vaccine doses and the announcement of enough coronavirus vaccines for all American adults by the end of May, the country is inching toward the possibility of returning to normal.

President Biden on Tuesday stated that he is hopeful things will begin to turn around.

“My hope is, by this time next year, we’re going to be back to normal, and before that, my hope,” Biden said at the time.
