The Hill and Decision Desk HQ Debut 2024 Election Center

Features Include Exclusive Poll-Averaging and Race Scenario-Planning Tools for 2024

December 14, 2023 (Washington D.C.)The Hill and leading election results provider Decision Desk HQ (DDHQ) today announced the launch of the “2024 Election Center,” a suite of interactive tools that enables users to create their own election scenarios and predictions for 2024, powered by DDHQ’s expansive collection of polls and historical data. The “Election Center” offers The Hill’s audience a brand-new product experience, built on the platform’s comprehensive election coverage, including DDHQ’s election results and race calls.

The core of “Election Center” is the Decision Desk HQ/ The Hill  Polling Average, delivering new rolling averages of surveys conducted in every 2024 race for the U.S. House, U.S. Senate, and the race for President.

“We are very excited to debut the ‘2024 Election Center’ with Decision Desk HQ, including The Hill/Decision Desk HQ Polling Average, the go-to metric for consumers to use through the election,” said Bob Cusack, Editor in Chief of The Hill.

Key survey data, from horse-race results to job approval and favorability, to the mood of the country, will be offered via the “Election Center,” and five trial heat polls in a race will trigger the start of a polling average. DDHQ has averaged polls since the 2018 election cycle with a methodology that prioritizes simplicity, accuracy and thoroughness. The Decision Desk HQ/The Hill Polling Average will offer straightforward averages that accurately represent the state of all available polls in a race while being easy to interpret and not overly sensitive to news events.

The “Election Center” will also feature a prediction tool enabling users to create their own shareable election scenarios for President, the US Senate and the US House.

“The Hill wants to innovate with unique election coverage and tools and new ways of employing data to engage audiences as much as DDHQ does, and we’re excited to introduce these features and build them out as we get closer to November 2024,” said Drew McCoy, President of Decision Desk HQ.
