Press Release

Tremendous growth in July for The Hill

Announcement from: Bob Cusack, Editor-in-Chief , Joe Ruffolo, Senior Vice President, and General Manager

As we wrap up a truly historic summer of news and a tremendous week of coverage from the DNC, we wanted to thank everyone for their exceptional work and share some of our big wins. We should all be extremely proud of the excellent storytelling being delivered across the organization – from print to the site, to video, to live events, and new product experiences.

According to July 2024 ComScore numbers, The Hill drew its largest audience since January 2021. We reached 47.4M monthly unique visitors across desktop, mobile, and social platforms, which amounts to a 32% year over year (YoY) increase in monthly unique visitors and a 60% YoY increase in monthly total visits. In addition, our video starts were up 40% YoY and subscribers to our alerts were up 360% YoY.

The Hill also delivered several exceptional events on Mental Health, Energy, Drug Shortages, an event with 92NY on the Budget, and a great event on Gen Z’s American Dream with A Starting Point in Chicago.

As we go into the fall, there is a lot of big work ahead around our election coverage, events, video, and our upcoming move later this month. But we wanted to take a moment to thank each of you for your time, hard work, ideas, and continued contributions. “We win as a team” and our growth is only possible because of your talent and efforts.

Thank you.

Joe and Bob
