The Republican Party’s Senate campaign arm mocked Hillary Clinton on Tuesday after the Democratic presidential nominee was involved in a minor vehicle collision outside of a New Jersey campaign event for Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.).

The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) posted video of the collision Tuesday, in which Clinton and her aide Huma Abedin can be seen emerging from the vehicle apparently unharmed after it is seen striking a barrier.

{mosads}A Twitter account belonging to the NRSC joked that the video was a “live look” at the former secretary of state “trying to save” her political ally, Menendez, who faces a tight race against Bob Hugin (R) for New Jersey’s Senate seat in November following the dismissal of corruption charges against him earlier this year.

“Spoiler alert: She crashes,” the account tweeted Tuesday.

Bob Salera, a spokesman for the NRSC, wrote earlier in the day that national Democrats were streaming to New Jersey, pointing to polls showing Hugin within striking distance of the incumbent senator.

“New Jersey has officially become a four alarm fire for national Democrats, and they are racing in to save disgraced Senator Bob Menendez,” Salera wrote in a press release.

Menendez is facing a tough race against Hugin, though two recent polls CBS News and Quinnipiac have shown him with a double-digit lead.
