Romney treated over the summer for prostate cancer: reports

Mitt Romney was treated over the summer for prostate cancer, according to multiple reports.

A source close to Romney said that the former GOP presidential nominee was treated surgically over the summer at a hospital in California, according to CNN.

“His prognosis is good; he was successfully treated,” the source said.

Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) announced earlier this month that he would retire at the end of his current term, leaving an opening for a potential Romney Senate run.

Hatch said last week that Romney would have his support if he runs for Senate.

Trump last week spoke over the phone with Romney — who has been a vocal critic of Trump in the past.

In the call, Trump wished Romney luck in his future endeavors.
