President Trump’s former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski hit author Michael Wolff’s headline-making book on the Trump White House on Sunday, calling it a “book of fiction” and Wolff a liar.

“The guy is a liar, is what it comes down to, and I don’t think anybody who looks at what’s in this book can take it honestly,” Lewandowski told Chris Wallace on “Fox News Sunday.”

{mosads}“This is a book of fiction. Not only is it not accurate, there are so many misrepresentations in this book that it shouldn’t be taken seriously,” he continued, adding “This book is a complete fabrication.”

Wolff’s book, “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House,” caused a frenzy in Washington last week.

The book is filled with various claims about Trump and those close to him, such as Lewandowski.

Wolff writes in the book that Lewandowski considered Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump to be stupid, and that he referred to Jared Kushner as “the butler,” which Lewandoski denied on Sunday.

“Mr. Wolff and I never spoke about this book, so where he comes up with the assertions on what I think of the Trump kids or Jared Kushner are completely made up. I’ve never spoken to him about this,” Lewandowski said.

The White House and the president have pushed back on the claims made in the book, and have maintained they are untrue.

Lewandowski in the interview noted that Wolff acknowledges in the book’s introduction that it contains conflicting and untrue statements. He writes that certain accounts reflect “a version of events I believe to be true.”
