Former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman said Sunday she was “complicit” in the Trump administration’s deceit of the country.
“I was complicit with this White House deceiving this nation,” Manigault Newman said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
“They continue to deceive this nation by how mentally declined he is, how difficult it is for him to process complex information, how he is not engaged in some of the most important decisions that impacts our country,” she continued. “I was complicit and for that I regret.”
Manigault Newman said President Trump’s pledges to help the community and commitment to her career gave her a “blind spot” where she repeatedly wanted to see the best in the president.

{mosads}Manigault Newman, who rose to fame on “The Apprentice,” was fired last year from the White House, but has returned to the spotlight after penning a memoir that recounts her time in the White House.
The book alleges Trump is a racist, misogynist and narcissist.
Trump blasted his longtime aide as a “lowlife” after book excerpts began to leak, and the White House slammed her as a “disgruntled former White House employee” who is “trying to profit off of these false attacks.”
Manigault Newman has previously praised Trump, famously saying that the president’s critics would have to “bow down” after his election. Upon her departure, she gave an interview saying she would not work for someone she believed to be racist.
