Sunday Talk Shows

Sunday shows lineup: Trump impeachment dominates the talk circuit

The formal impeachment inquiry against President Trump launched by House Democrats earlier this week and it means will dominate the Sunday talk show circuit.

Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani will appear on both ABC’s “This Week” and “Face the Nation” on CBS.

Giuliani has been in the middle of the impeachment talks as the whistleblower report alleged Giuliani was in contact with Ukrainian officials multiple times attempting them to look in to former Vice President Joe Biden’s son Hunter.

Also appearing on two of the shows will be Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.). Schiff, the Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, conducted the hearing of the Acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire Tuesday. Conservatives and Trump lambasted Schiff for the hearing, with Trump calling Schiff “Liddle’” in a tweet.

Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif will be on “Meet the Press.” Zarif was in New York for the United Nations General Assembly this week but was under travel restrictions while he was there.

Here’s the full lineup for the Sunday news shows, according to the Associated Press:

ABC’s “This Week”: Rudy Giuliani, President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer; Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif.
