Klobuchar: ‘I’m going to New Hampshire no matter what’

Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) said Sunday that her showing in the Iowa caucus would not affect whether she stayed in the presidential race through the New Hampshire primary, telling Fox News’s Chris Wallace, “I’m going to New Hampshire no matter what.”

“I’ve been to New Hampshire 22 times. … I think we have to do well [in Iowa], but I’m going to New Hampshire no matter what,” she said on “Fox News Sunday.” “There’s a debate, I’m on the debate stage.”

“I bring something to the stage that really no one else has. I’m one of only two candidates from the middle of the country where we need to win as Democrats,” she added. “I’m one of two women that are left on the debate stage. There’s a lot of stuff about why I should stay in this race.”

Klobuchar also addressed reports that her campaign had been approached by former Vice President Joe Biden’s campaign about a possible deal to pledge support to each other in precincts where one of them does not muster enough support to win delegates.

“No deals. In fact, they just approached someone who is affiliated with our campaign but not on our staff. … He said no. We said no. There is no deal,” Klobuchar told Wallace.
