President-elect Joe Biden’s transition preparation, the Trump campaign’s legal battles in swing states and the surging coronavirus in the U.S. are expected to dominate this week’s Sunday talk shows.

Biden was declared the winner of the 2020 election exactly one week ago, and President Trump continues to refuse to concede the election. The former vice president has secured 306 Electoral Votes compared to Trump’s 232, with races in the states Arizona and Georgia projected for Biden this week.

The president and his allies continue to claim that the election results are invalid due to voter fraud. However, a coalition of leading federal and state election officials as well as voting equipment manufacturers declared on Thursday that it was the “most secure” contest in U.S. history. They added that there is “no evidence” that any voting system was compromised.

Despite these findings, the Trump campaign is moving ahead with its legal challenges, though they are unlikely to change the outcome of the election.

The New York Times reported on Saturday that Trump tapped his personal attorney Rudy Giuliani to oversee the campaign’s lawsuits. The decision was made after the campaign lost a suit over vote counting in Maricopa County, Ariz.

Giuliani will appear on Fox News Channel’s “Sunday Morning Features” and “America This Week.”

Trump’s refusal to concede has complicated Biden’s transition.

Trump’s General Services Administration (GSA) has yet to ascertain Biden as president-elect, blocking access to millions of dollars in federal funding for salaries and travel for his team. In addition, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence isn’t interacting with the Biden campaign, meaning that he’s not getting access to presidential intelligence briefings.

However, Biden is still forging ahead with transition planning, hiring staff and devising a plan to tackle the pandemic. Biden appointed his longtime confidant Ron Klainto serve as his chief of staff. Klain will appear on NBC’s “Meet the Press” Sunday.

Biden unveiled his coronavirus task force on Monday which includes former Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, who is scheduled to appear on “Fox News Sunday.”

Several of Biden’s coronavirus advisers will appear on Sunday shows this week, including Michael Osterholm who said that the U.S. is well-positioned financially to handle a lockdown of more than a month in order to get the pandemic under control. He will appear on “Meet the Press.”
