Raskin: Grisham told Jan. 6 panel about ‘names that I had not heard before’
Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) on Sunday said former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham told the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol about “a number of names that I had not heard before.”
“She had a number of names that I had not heard before, and she had some ways of looking at it,” Raskin told moderator Chuck Todd when asked about Grisham’s meeting with the panel during an appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
Raskin told CNN after Grisham met with the committee that she “named a lot of names I had not heard before” and “identified some lines of inquiry that had never occurred to me.”

Grisham, who in addition to press secretary served as communications director and chief of staff to former first lady Melania Trump, sat with the committee on Wednesday. She told CNN that she “answered every question they asked of me, and I will continue to cooperate with them.”
She said the congressional investigators were interested in gathering more information about what was happening in the White House when the riot was taking place on Capitol Hill. Grisham was in her roles until the evening of Jan. 6, when she resigned from her posts.
Grisham told the network that the conversation lasted an hour.
The former White House aide revealed on Thursday that she and a group of ex-Trump administration officials are meeting this coming week to try to “stop” former President Trump. She said the group of “about 15” will “talk about how we can formally do some things to try and stop him and also, you know, the extremism, that kind of violence and rhetoric that has been talked about and continues to divide our country.”
The former White House official made headlines last year when her book, “I’ll Take Your Questions Now: What I Saw at the Trump White House,” which detailed information from her time serving in the Trump administration, was published.
