Ice Cube claims CNN interview canceled by ‘powers that be’: ‘Can’t handle the truth’

Ice Cube on Thursday said that CNN “can’t handle the truth” after the network reportedly canceled his interview on Cuomo Prime Time.

“So the POWERS that be cancelled my interview on @CuomoPrimeTime tonight. I’ve actually been ban from @CNN for a few months so I was surprised they even asked. But it seems like they can’t handle the truth,” he tweeted.

The alleged cancellation comes amid backlash after Trump adviser Katrina Pierson on Tuesday shared on Twitter that the rapper was helping develop the administration’s “Platinum Plan,” which aims to bring $500 billion back to Black America.

Ice Cube responded on Wednesday, tweeting that both parties contacted him after he released his Contract with Black America, which seeks to address “the heart of racism” and present “a blueprint to achieve racial economic justice.”

The rapper said that Democrats told him they’d address the initiative after the election, while the Trump campaign made adjustments to its plan after speaking with him.

However, on Thursday, Ice Cube was still responding to the development on Twitter. In response to an article in The Washington Post about the controversy, Ice Cube said “I will advise anybody on the planet who has the power to help Black Americans close the enormous wealth gap.”

The rapper also responded to someone who asked if he remembered when he said he would “never endorse a mothaf—a like Donald Trump” in 2016.”

“I haven’t endorsed anybody,” he replied.

The Hill has reached out to CNN for comment.
